EQUIPPING GOD'S PEOPLE FOR A LIFE OF MINISTRY

Engage is all about training God's people to teach the Bible to others, and to live whole-heartedly in the light of the gospel, whether you’re just starting out in Christian ministry, or have been involved for years.

Join us on the Australia Day long weekend in January for four days of small group training, Bible talks and workshops that will equip you to engage with, handle and teach God's word well.

OUR SPEAKER: GARY MILLAR

Our speaker is Gary Millar, Principal of Queensland Theological College (QTC). He teaches Old Testament, biblical theology and preaching. A Northern Irishman, Gary is married to Fiona and they have three adult daughters. Before moving to Australia, he was a pastor for 17 years. He has also written books on reading the Bible, getting going in the Christian life, prayer and preaching, as well as commentaries on Deuteronomy, Kings and 2 Corinthians.

OUR THEME: A GOSPEL FOR ALL THE NATIONS

Jeremiah is not only the longest book in the Bible, but arguably the grittiest. Set in the days of massive social, political, economic and spiritual upheaval, it makes even our times seem tame. But despite the relentless message of judgement, Jeremiah also projects the most wonderful gospel hope - a gospel for all the nations. As Jeremiah preaches this message, we discover the beauty and power of truth in the midst of trauma.
